MATECO, GERMAN SUBSIDIARY OF TVH, WINS ‘ACCESS RENTAL COMPANY OF THE YEAR’ AWARD

The mateco group was awarded the international title of ‘Access Rental Company of the year’ on 26 March 2015 in Washington. Mateco received this IAPA award thanks to the rising turnover figures and the considerable investments in the rental fleet, the network of branches and the safety training courses of the past year. Armin Rappen, mateco’s manager, and Pascal Vanhalst, CEO at TVH Group, accepted the prize on behalf of the more than 500 mateco-employees.

The ‘International Awards for Powered Access’, or IAPA awards, are the most important international prizes in the sector. They are distributed across 13 categories and are presented by a professional jury. The award is a special honouring for the mateco group which highlights the success of the company and the efforts of the last couple of years extra.

A successful year has passed
In the category ‘Access Rental Company of the Year‘ mateco was able to hold its ground against multiple international players in the access equipment sector. “The company has gone through an amazing year”, according to the jury. Witness the increasing turnover figures, the considerable investments in new aerial work platforms with higher capacities, the expansion of the branch network and the fact that mateco offered the ‘PlatformCard’ training about safety to more than 4000 people. According to Armin Rappen, manager at mateco, and Pascal Vanhalst, CEO at TVH Group, they also owe the title to the numerous customers who give mateco their trust and to the continuous efforts to optimise the service. In addition to this mateco follows a consistent growth strategy, consisting of the expansion of branches and various other investments. This policy led among other things to a rental fleet of less than 5 years old.

Worldwide network
The mateco group has been renting out aerial work platforms for more than 40 years. Their customer database includes building enterprises, facility management, the mobile sector, the media, garden and landscape architects … The rental fleet consists of more than 6000 aerial work platforms in over 700 different versions. With subsidiaries in Luxemburg and Poland and with 80 strong partners worldwide, mateco also deploys aerial work platforms outside of the German borders. Since 2012 the company has been a part of TVH. This allows it to fall back on a global network of more than 17 000 machines.

FREE Android APP ‘MyTotalSource’ AT TVH

After an intensive test phase, the MyTotalSourceapp (MTS) by TVH is now available free of charge to everybody on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tvh.MTSMobile. In May this year TVH presented the demo version of its MTS app at CeMAT in Hannover. TVH developed the app to also provide smartphone users with easier and quicker access to the existing MyTotalSource webshop.

‘Very clear when it comes to offers.’,

‘Easy to work with.’,

‘Ten out of then for surveyability.’

These are just some of the positive comments TVH customers made after testing the MTS app.

Thanks to the MyTotalSourceapp users can now consult their order history faster and call up offers. Photographs and technical info of the parts can easily be consulted. The orders currently still pass via the MTS webshop.

Another new feature is the ‘scan to order’function. Simply scan the bar code via the app and the order is automatically imported into MyTotalSource. What is useful is that customers can scan in their own bar codes, without having to use the TVH bar code.

TVH’s MTS app saves time, minimizes the risk of mistakes during the input of article numbers and is environmentally friendly since it contributes to a decrease in the consumption of paper.

In a next phase TVH has planned a function which will allow to send through orders, and the app will also become available for iPhone.

MyTotalSource update makes things even easier for the user

Something is moving in MyTotalSource, TVH's webshop. With the implementation of various new options, 2014 started off dynamically and customer-friendly. But it doesn't end there, later this spring a new application will also follow.

User-friendly options
People who use MyTotalSource to place their inquiries and orders, can now do so even more smoothly thanks to the extra possibilities. MyTotalSource allows TVH customers to look up references, place inquiries and orders, consult catalogues, receive news and promotions …

By means of the new inbox function customer remain informed of all offer and order updates. They can also view the results of imports and a quick global overview of the offer and order status.

Looking up references with machine details
Even the search engine MyPartsFinder received an update. In this search engine customers can look up references of parts based on truck details. Not only new models and extra info were added to the database, in addition it is now also possible to call up a list of common references if you don't have a part number. To do so, you only need to enter the brand and model of the machine.

New profile
For the people on the road or those visiting customers, a new profile was created: ‘Warehouse – no price’. With these profile settings it is possible to easily place inquiries, obtain product info, view photographs, and consult availability and delivery times. The price is not shown for this profile.

Finally there is also the new pop-up screen ‘Do You Mean’. When a customer input a reference under an incorrect brand, MyTotalSource will automatically suggest some possible alternatives. From this list the customer can then immediately select the correct reference.

Next …
TVH is currently putting the finishing touches on yet another new application for its webshop. This application will enable users to use MyTotalSource on smartphones. The launch has been scheduled for May 2014.

Customers of TVH even better informed - New website for TVH

On 24 February TVH launched its new website, with the same well-known address www.tvh.com. With the slogan ‘Fly high with our new website’ the one-stop shop for material handling and industrial vehicles introduces its new site to its customers. As a result of the rapid growth in the last couple of years, during which TVH also tapped new markets, a new website became essential.

Visitors of the site first arrive on a landing page where they can select their country on a map of the world. Based on the selected country, they get the correct information and contact details. The new site currently exists in the following languages: Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Russian. The websites of the TVH branches will also receive an update during the next couple of months, so that all TVH websites will use the same layout in time.

More info, more images
On the new site TVH displays much more of its product range, with lots of visual material. The pages of the Parts & Accessories division clearly show what machines the company sells parts and accessories for, and what catalogues and brochures are available on these products. People who are interested in purchasing a machine now have a perfect overview of what machines are for sale on the pages of the Equipment division, with a direct link to the technical details.

Training Centre and Service & repair
As from now the overview of the technical and driver training courses can also be found on the site, and customers have the possibility to immediately enrol online. The pages about Service & repair explain what the Workshop service and Electronics departments do and for what repairs customers can contact TVH.

Movies, brochures, catalogues and webshops
The navigation on the site is very clear, but people who don't immediately find what they are looking for can use the search function to search through the entire site. And for those who have a question, they can use the 'Can we help you'-button on each web page in addition to the contact form. All catalogues, brochures and movies have been grouped under ‘Downloads’.

As from now customers can also log on to the webshops MyTotalSource (ordering, requesting offers, looking up parts) and MyEquipmentFinder (looking up second-hand machines by stock level) via the site.

Working at TVH
In addition to the overview of the vacancies, anyone looking for a job at TVH can now find elaborate info about working at TVH, the company values and info about job fairs. The pages about the company also clearly show how the company has grown, where the international branches are and what the mission of the company is.
