NEC Display Solutions reveals future airport experiences at Passenger Terminal EXPO 2015

NEC to provide real-life demos of intelligent airport display solutions at stand 5035

NEC Display Solutions Europe will demonstrate its intelligent airport display systems at this year’s Passenger Terminal EXPO (PTE) in Paris, France from 10-12 March 2015 at stand 5035, showcasing the future of passenger’s visual journeys throughout the airport.

As the airline industry continues to debate how to address the growing demand for air travel, there is clear demand for airports to add more intelligence to the way information is provided to passengers. NEC’s stand will feature real-life installations of this approach at each stage of the airport experience. From check-in and security, to shopping, relaxing and boarding, NEC uses interactive technologies to enhance the passenger experience.

With features designed for use in aviation such as mobile connectivity, Bluetooth, NFC and iBeacons and applications like digital departure hall boards, way-finding and intelligent advertising solutions, NEC will demonstrate how digital displays can enhance the experience for travellers whilst improving efficiency and profitability for airports.

Richard Wilks, EMEA Aviation Business Development Manager, comments: “Airports have the ability to completely change the experience of its passengers by changing the way display technology is used, whether its passengers are tech-savvy or not. PTE 2015 for NEC is about showing the impact display technology can have on the operations of the airport, adding intelligence and overall making it a brighter experience.”
