Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

Sonic Communications has long supported our Armed Forces both through sponsorship of the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team, and various other military charities and teams.

Sonic also supported Regional Sales Manager Steve Cherry during his Reservists mobilisation for service in Afghanistan through 2012, ensuring that his family had local support at hand if needed.

Sonic has also recently committed to an Armed Forces Corporate Covenant to further assist the military community where ever possible.

On 27 November 14, Sonic MD Neil Barker was presented with a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award for its support to Defence.  The Award was presented by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for the County of Shropshire, Sir Algernon Heber-Percy and Brigadier GW Wilson, Commander 11 Signal and West Midlands Brigade, during a dinner in the Officers’ Mess of RAF Cosford.

The NEW RDS600 System is a Rapid Deployment unit capable of controlling and recording up to 4 PTZ cameras and simultaneously streaming live footage over 4g/3g or by using the built in wifi to transmit to a number of devices including your mobile phone or tablet.

The RS600 uses secure AES 256 encryption and can be configured to house a number of recorders dependant on the needs of the operative.

The whole design is easy to set up and simple to operate. The unit can be moved from one covert vehicle to another in a matter of seconds.

To further widen its operational capabilities, the device can be used with our range of transportable batteries to extend the use of the device during operation.

Delta-5 is the latest design from the range of Delta Tactical Radio Equipment Carrying Garments Listening and learning from the feedback we have received from the surveillance user community Delta -5 benefits from a number of design and textile advancements but never straying from the original basic concept of a comfortable, excellent quality garment that allows for a radio and its associated accessories to be worn beneath plain clothes.

One of the key Delta-5 features that separates it from the rest of the Delta range is that it features dual left and right hand side radio pockets that are slim and unobtrusive, allowing the user to dictate which side they choose to wear their radio. This simple design addition now permits users to comfortably wear other items of equipment, separate to the vest when required, without conflicting with the space occupied by the radio.

This user feedback request increases the garments flexibility of use and reduces cost by allowing one garment to suit a greater number of individuals requirements and crucially keeps the garment range to a choice of size and colour* (*Black only as of 2014 – White Option coming soon)
